Blog is short for weblog. A weblog is a journal (or newsletter) that is frequently updated and intended for general public consumption. Blogs generally represent the personality of the author or the Web site, in this case “All-Things-Edgerton” according to Mr. Guy A. Kovacs, the planning principal for George W. Edgerton Elementary.
What is the purpose of this blog?
The purpose of this blog is to begin important dialogue in developing the Edgerton school community. My hope is to regularly update this blog on the progress of the school construction, add related photos, introduce you to school staff members as they come on board, and inform you of any other information pertinent to Edgerton Elementary. I will work to update this blog every other week.
Can I respond to the postings?
Absolutely! That is one of the key functions of a blog – to allow readers to share their thoughts and ideas about specific posted topics. Just hit the “Comment” section at the bottom of this posting and share, but remember that this is a public document for all to read.
